Shorin Kempo Syllabus
Grades of Shorin Kempo for Non Uchideshi Karateka
In Shorin Kempo there are no stripes displayed on grades above Godan (5th Dan) . The reason for this is that we believe that that belt should stay with the Shihan for the rest of your life as a teacher of Shorin Kempo.
The amount of dedication and time that the teacher puts into his or her training will be visible by the ageing of the Obi (belt).
All belts (Obi) above Blackbelt can only be supplied by the Kaikan as the belts are blessed before being presented to the instructor.
8th Kyu (White Belt)

Grades of Shorin Kempo for Uchideshi
The Grading for Uchideshi ( Inner Student) or direct full time student under the Kancho at the Hombu Dojo differs considerably to that of the normal grading syllabus. The concept of the Uchideshi Program is to produce teachers of a very high standard to ensure the system of Shorin Kempo stays intact for the generations to come. The Uchideshi program take 1000 days to complete.
